Nigel, reportedly has stated that Katharine McPhee and Taylor Hicks will perform two different "coronation" songs. Maybe some truth to Hicks opining about the song selections and arrangements. (You go big Daddy) Quoting, "Both will sing their new records, but it's not the same song."
He expressed concern over Kat oversinging her songs, and of course, I imagine we'll hear "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" again. Nigel so astutely commented that Tay is "unique to the competition" (uh, hello Nig, speak the obvious) He whines about missing Daughtry the most of the contestants gone. (How he dreamt of Chris as the new "Idol".) We don't always get what we want even Mr. Lithgoe.
Swirling rumors:
Elliott to sing with Mary J. Blige
Carrie to sing (pretty much confirmed)
Bo Bice to perform (He doesn't just sing, you get a performance. I hope Daughtry is there so he can take notes on how it's really done)
It would be great to have The Biceman perform, but I haven't really received confirmation on that, only that he will be present.
