Taylor Hicks might be playing a Teen Angel on Broadway but there certainly is a plethora of music out in Internet Land about and around all sorts of Angels. I went in search for an old "Country and Western-type" song that a certain Taylor Hicks' fan was looking for and instead wandered into these little musical jewels. Not quite what the seeker might have been seeking, but nice tunes nonetheless. Hope you enjoy.

That brought me to this which has nothing to do with angels, but everything with a great combination of musicians working a great little tune.

Angel flying too close to the ground
Fly on, fly on past the speed of sound
I'd rather see you up
Than see you down
Martina McBride, "A Broken Wing"
He loved to make her cry. "you’re crazy for believin’ you’ll ever leave the
Ground." he said "only angels know how to fly."
And with a broken wing, she still sings. she’ keeps an eye on the sky. with a
Broken wing, she carries her dreams. man, you ought to see her fly.

Way across the valley on the mountain side
Poets are right of dying and they drink black wine
They dream a bout a hero with broken wings
And dance to join the devil
But it's not what it seems
And so it goes
The only trouble is we never know
Still looking for a reason but I'm not quite sure
And a little sumpin'-sumpin' for another Taylor Fan.

Above the planet on a wing and a prayer,
My grubby halo, a vapour trail in the empty air
Across the clouds I see my shadow fly
Out of the corner of my watering eye
A dream unthreatened by the morning light
Could blow this soul right through the roof of the night
...just an Earthbound misfit, I.
