Taylor Hicks' Angelic Salute - on Regis and Kelly

I'm not a big Regis and Kelly fan, I find a great deal of their On-Air banter to be rather pretentious and self-gratifying, but hey, some folks obviously like that. Sure they 'give back' now and again, but for the most part it's all about them and their great New York lifestyle. I'm not bitter, don't get me wrong, I just find some of the parts of the show completely boring and pointless so opt to not watch - if - I'm home.

Taylor Hicks is now playing the role of Teen Angel in the Broadway showing of "Grease" to repeat something that's being talked about all over the internet. This production came about out of a reality spawned endeavor, too. I actually watched the damn reality offering, never did cast a vote. I liked ol' Max Crumm though, he was charismatic and fun during the contest. I was completely charmed by his admitted slacker ways and those big ol' ears and freckles. The gal who won the part of Sandy, she's gorgeous, but wasn't my favorite.

Mr. Hicks has performed on Regis and Kelly in the past so this new only in that he's representing Broadway now not American Idol. Apparently Regis and Kelly are doing some kind of Broadway special thing this week and are having Taylor Hicks and the cast appear to do a few numbers. One good thing, perhaps he'll do that "Beauty School Drop Out" tune and we'll have better video.

Not only do I want to hear Beauty School Dropout Taylor style, but I am really hoping to see him hand-jive. LOL!! Taylor doing the hand-jive, never in a million years would I have thought it.

On a side note, I didn't watch AI this past season, but I'm trying to catch up on Jason Castro, trusting that you know good music. :-) He looks good in that picture where he's pulling his hair back. And I know, it's about the music, man, but I just had to say it.

  3. Hi lola, I was away from the computer a few days - sick, nice to read your comments about Hicks.

Jason, he's got tremendous potential. His beauty doesn't lie skin deep, he's a pretty on the inside as the out. Love seeing a local boy do good.
